March is a busy and exciting month at CalOPS! From literacy celebrations and academic milestones to community service and in-person events, students across all grade levels have plenty of opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.
Elementary School
Read Across America Week & Spirit Week — March 2-6
Elementary is excited to promote our love of literacy and share with our students and families.
Family Literacy Afternoon — March 6 at 1:00 PM
This is our culminating event during Read Across America week. There will be multiple teachers hosting a breakout room and reading aloud with an activity.
Interim Activities — March 9-13
The California Interim Activities offer formative resources aligned with state standards, helping educators assess student understanding and readiness for summative assessments.
Physical Fitness Testing for 5th Graders Only — March 19, 24 & 26
Middle School
Homeroom Hub — March 4 & 18
Homeroom hub is where students meet twice monthly as a homeroom together with their homeroom teacher to go over important updates and build community.

Mid-Year Social Meet-Up Mixer — March 6 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
A fun 3-hour event where students rotate through 30-minute sessions to discover and learn about various High School Social Meet Ups!

California Academic Decathlon Championship — March 19-22
Congratulations to our HS Academic Decathlon Team! This competition features top teams from across the state competing in ten academic events, including art, music, literature, and social science.

Feeding America San Bernardino/Riverside — March 5
Our CalOPS Cares volunteer team will lend a hand to help those with food insecurity. Volunteer work may consist of organizing donated items to ensure efficient distribution and maximum impact in combating hunger in the Inland Empire or other duties or any other assigned duties needed that day.
Getty Center Field Trip — March 31
CalOPS families will take part in a one-hour guided tour of the famous Getty Center! The tour will focus on art exhibits with time to stroll the beautiful gardens and enjoy a picnic lunch.
March 2026 reflects CalOPS’ ongoing commitment to academic excellence, student wellness, family engagement, and community involvement. We look forward to a month filled with learning, celebration, and meaningful connection!
