The provision of empathetic connections, understanding, and a supportive network significantly contributes to our overall well-being. Whether through close relationships, community engagement, or professional support systems, the avenues for bolstering our emotional resilience and social bonds are diverse and essential. Care Solace finds the necessary assistance for issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, and more. This service is confidential and provided free of charge to families of California Online Public Schools. It facilitates easy access to a range of providers who accept either public or private insurance, as well as those offering sliding scale options. Care Solace is dedicated to securing appointments quickly, ensuring the best possible care for those in need.
Mental Health Workshops
California Online Public Schools offers virtual workshops and dedicated office hours specifically for enrolled parents, guardians and caretakers, aiming to support them in fostering the positive mental health and social-emotional well-being of students. These workshops, typically hosted by our school social worker, cover a range of mental health topics crucial for nurturing students’ mental health and social-emotional development. Topics covered in these sessions may include suicide prevention, social anxiety, effective teamwork in parenting, self-esteem, bullying, and more, with the potential for future topics to vary. This initiative is part of our commitment to holistic student development.
Our counselors regularly host LiveClass sessions that focus on a variety of topics related to social and emotional well-being. In these sessions, students are invited to engage in discussions about various subjects, including coping mechanisms and self-care strategies, among other relevant topics. This interactive and supportive environment encourages students to explore and understand different aspects of their mental and emotional health.
