As we approach the end of the semester, there’s plenty happening at CalOPS for students and families across all grade levels. From engaging learning opportunities to meaningful community service, December is shaping up to be an exciting month!
Elementary School
Virtual Family Math Night – Mid December (Date TBD)
Elementary families are invited to join our Virtual Family Math Night, a fun and interactive way to explore math concepts together. It’s a great opportunity for students and families to connect over problem-solving and build a love for learning.
No LiveClasses on December 11
On this day, our teachers will focus on professional development to strengthen their teaching in Math and Language Arts. This dedicated time ensures that students continue to receive high-quality instruction and personalized support.
Middle School
Small Group Counseling Sessions – December 9 & 17
Middle school students are encouraged to participate in small group counseling sessions designed to provide guidance and emotional support:
- December 9: LGBTQIA+ Support
- December 17: Grief and Loss
These sessions offer a safe space for students to share experiences, build coping skills, and connect with peers and counselors.
High School
There are no specific events scheduled for high school students this month, but they are encouraged to stay engaged with their ongoing classes and activities.
All-School Events
Winter Break – Dec. 22, 2025 – Jan. 2, 2026
Students will enjoy a well-deserved Winter Break to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with family and friends.
Harvest Farms Solutions Field Trip – December 4
Families who previously registered will have the chance to volunteer at Harvest Solutions Farm, supporting Second Harvest Food Bank’s mission to provide fresh produce to those in need across Orange County. This hands-on experience encourages community service and gives students an opportunity to make a real difference.
December is full of ways for CalOPS students to learn, grow, and give back. We encourage families to take part in these opportunities and celebrate the many ways our students shine academically, socially, and in their communities.
