November is shaping up to be an exciting month at California Online Public Schools (CalOPS)! From virtual coffee chats and community-building sessions to field trips and honor roll celebrations, there’s something happening for every student and family. Elementary School
Coffee Chat with Assistant Principal Hannah Hurley – November 6th, 8:30–9:30 AM PST
Families are invited to our monthly pop-in session with Assistant Principal Hannah Hurley. This is a great opportunity to say hello, ask questions, and get support navigating our learning platforms.
i-CARE Core Value Focus: Collaboration – November & December
These next two months, our elementary teachers will be focusing on our i-CARE core value of collaboration. They will be looking for students who are demonstrating this value in LiveClass and in their lessons.

Middle School
Honor Roll Celebration – November 7th, 9:30 AM PST
We’re celebrating students who earned High Honor and Honor Roll during the Spring 2024 semester. This year’s theme? Carnival! Get ready for a fun and festive virtual celebration.
Social Meet-Ups – Starting November 7th, Fridays at 1:00 PM PST
Middle School Social Meetups allow students and staff to explore common interests, such as Harry Potter, Dungeons and Dragons, games, Disney, anime, etc.!
In-Person Walking Tour of Historic Town Julian – November 6th
Students will explore the quaint town of Julian, known for its apple orchards and rich history. This field trip offers a hands-on learning experience and a chance to enjoy the charm of this historic town.
High School
There are no scheduled events for High School students this month, but stay tuned for upcoming activities and opportunities!

‘What’s In A Name’ Community Building Session – November 6th, 6:00 PM PST
Our names tell more about us than we might think! This virtual session invites parents and caretakers to share stories, bond, and connect with other families and teachers at CalOPS.
Fall Break – November 24–28
