HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: HOW MANY CREDITS ARE NEEDED TO GRADUATE IN CALIFORNIA?
California Online Public Schools high school students must successfully earn a minimum of 220 units of credit to graduate.
The course credits required to graduate from high school in California include:
40 credits
Language Arts
20 credits
Mathematics
(including Algebra and above)
30 credits
Science
(including but not limited to Biology and Physical Science)
30 credits
Social Studies
(including World History, U.S. History, Government and Economics)
20 credits
Physical Education
10 credits
Humanities/Foreign Language/CTE
70 credits
